Fujitsu Rolls Out Global Cloud Platform in North America

For a limited time, organizations can access the Infrastructure-as-a-Service offering for application testing and development, as well as high-performance processing for workloads such as data analytics. The Fujitsu Global Cloud Platform is an initial offering in support of cloud computing trends that are reshaping the IT industry. According to IDC Chief Analyst Frank Gens, over 80% of new enterprise applications will be developed for cloud in 2011, and by 2014, almost 20% of spending on enterprise applications will be via the cloud model.
Fujitsu America is introducing to the North American market the same cloud services offered by Fujitsu around the world, making it extremely easy for multinational enterprises to service their infrastructure needs locally in multiple locations. The platform is built on open standards with published APIs and includes 24/7 global support for the infrastructure platform. The U.S. service will be delivered from the Fujitsu green data center in the heart of Silicon Valley, enabling organizations to cutinformation and communications technology (ICT) costs by as much as 40% while significantly reducing their carbon footprint.
The Fujitsu Global Cloud Platform incorporates multi-tier security for a true enterprise-grade environment. Its browser interface makes it simple to build, provision and manage secure environments for even relatively complex three-tier workloads. Provisioning is highly flexible and availability guaranteed to be at least 99.95 percent.
